It's a BRAND NEW Day! Sun is Shining

Well today I have a new appreciation for the men and women working on Ward 57 at Walter Reed Hospital. There are more people concerned about our soldiers and people protecting our freedom then anywhere I have experienced. I sometimes get upset when there is a lack of enthusiasm for our men and women who serve. For example, at the Grammys, Dierks Bently & Zac Brown Band wanted to thank these wonderful people in uniform before they began to announce the nominees. Unfortunately, the crowds clapping was anything less then appreciative. I know my husband doesn't serve our country for medals, awards or applause, but I still believe there should be more of a daily conscience appreciation for them. It doesnt affect people's day to day like it did in WWII when people had less steal and things in their house. They were directly affected by it, but today it's not that way. I hope that changes.

My husband had his surgery and is beginning his paintful recovery.
