Family ties

Is it hard sometimes to manage family? We often struggle to make our time available for everyone when we are home for such a short period of time. Being part of a community where we both grew up, and have family, makes it harder to juggle. We want everyone to get equal time, but also balance some of our own desires. It sometimes seems easier to manage family time if either side lived in two different states. However, we are blessed to have so many people on our life interested and invested in our life. We hope the last week we are in our hometown, we enjoy it because I imagine this is the last time for awhile we will be here for this long.

Do you struggle with this as a military family? How do you make it work?

Yin yang

Balance. Yin and Yang. Aligning your core. Yoga teaches you to strengthen this. However it's challenging to achieve the perfect balance sometimes. When you have been independently living as a married couple due to deployment it's a fuzzy feeling to adjust after his return. Your balance is off. You forget how to live together. You want to each be you, but also a couple. You wait for his return for so long; countdowns, keeping busy. Then, when he arrives and it's not all you imagined, you become disappointed. It's been a bit hard for us to get on the same foot. Any one else share in that struggle? Is there an easier transition that I don't know about? Any advice would be helpful.
